I took notice of Frank Grillo for his turn in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. He stood out in every scene and his action chops are commendable.
But after emerging as a charismatic lead in The Purge: Anarchy, a franchise I didn't care for before this, he convinced me that he not only can carry his own movie but also carry it well. He could be the next big action star.
So now that ComingSoon.net is reporting that Grillo is set to be the star of another action thriller titled Wheelman, I celebrate the news.
The movie is written and directed by Jeremy Rush as his feature film directorial debut, and is said to be about a getaway driver racing for survival after a goes wrong.
Filming is said to begin in September this year, and possibly be released in 2017.
We will also see Grillo next in the next installment, The Purge: Election Year.
