Maze Runner: The Death Cure Gets A New Release Date

The young adult series Maze Runner's next sequel, The Death Cure, was postponed without an official release date after 20th Century Fox could not determine the recovery period of their leading man Dylan O'Brien.

O'Brien suffered an injury on set while filming and the recovery process took longer than anticipated. But now, according to ComingSoon.net, a new release date has been announced and it will be out on 12 January 2018.

It's good to know that O'Brien is recovering just fine.

The original date was supposed to be 17 February 2017. And now the studio has decided to release it on the dumping grounds of January, is that wise for the franchise?

This isn't the case of Paul Walker where everyone will flock to see his final movie, not to mention that Fast & Furious has become a beloved franchise. Who will see the Maze Runner? Even if it's a great movie, it will only pull in its existing fans.

Let's wait and see if this strategy pulls off better numbers.
