Shouldn't the filming of Patriots Day be almost done by now if it is to be first screened for the audiences of Boston, New York and Los Angeles on 21 December 2016? Casting is still going strong as a few more names are added today, according to Coming Soon; and one of them is Melissa Benoist.
Benoist first caught my attention in Whiplash and then in Danny Collins before becoming TV's "Supergirl". But since this casting news comes in so late in the game, I'm sure she's got just a few scenes to shoot and all happening in one location.
The movie is directed by Peter Berg and already has a strong cast of Mark Wahlberg, J.K. Simmons, John Goodman, Kevin Bacon and Michelle Monaghan; and will be out on 13 January 2017.
