After the departure of Seth Grahame-Smith last month from Warner Bros. Pictures and DC's The Flash, the studios have surprisingly found their new director very quickly; though I do question the fit of the director and the movie.
Deadline today has announced that Rick Famuyiwa has signed on to direct. Famuyiwa's recent credit included writing and directing Dope, a movie which I somewhat enjoyed. But that's the only thing I've seen from him.
I suppose the comedy aspect that is needed in The Flash will be in Famuyiwa's wheelhouse but other than that, especially action wise, I'm very uncertain.
The Flash will have to go into final production plans, including the rest of the casting, very soon in order to make the 16 March 2018 release date.
