Back in February, there has been a report that Emily Blunt is being negotiated for the Mary Poppins sequel; and today Walt Disney Pictures has confirmed the casting; according to ComingSoon.net.
I think Blunt is a perfect casting choice, and we all saw that she can hit the right notes in Into The Woods.
Another casting news also came in today: Emmy, Grammy, Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winner, Lin-Manuel Miranda, has also joined the cast.
The movie is going to be directed by Rob Marshall, and the release date has been confirmed to be 25 December 2018.
