Dwayne Johnson has announced on his Instagram account that he is going to play "the world's first superhero", the "Man of Bronze" himself: Clark "Doc" Savage.
A picture with Shane Black in it also shows that Black will be the director for the movie, from a script that he has co-written.
Sony Pictures is behind the production, but no official release date has been announced.
So is Johnson still attached to play Black Adam in Shazam? He is attached to so many properties in this year alone that I wouldn't be surprised if this Doc Savage movie is scheduled for 2020.
I'm not familiar at all with Doc Savage, but anything Johnson does, he's always committed and always brings the fun. So he can attach himself to anything and everything and I wouldn't complain.
