In an interview with Elle, Helen Mirren has confirmed that she has joined the cast of Fast 8.
A year ago, Mirren has voiced her interest to join the franchise because she wants to be a "mad driver". Vin Diesel heard it and went to make it happen. And now Mirren hopes that she'll be able to drive her own car if her character gets to drive.
Fast 8 is directed by F. Gary Gray, and is the beginning of a new trilogy. It will be released on 14 April 2017.
