James Wan's Malignant Man Confirms Director Brad Peyton

Back in 2014, 20th Century Fox has acquired Boom! Studios comic book titled Malignant Man, which was created by James Wan and writer Michael Alan Nelson.

Today, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that a director is now attached, and it's San Andreas' Brad Peyton. Wan is also set to act as producer for the adaptaion.

Malignant Man is about a cancer patient, Alan Gates, who discovers his tumour is actually a mysterious parasite that is giving him a second chance in life, and also superpowers.

One can't help but wonder if Dwayne Johnson will be involved since he's collaborated with him for San Andreas and Journey 2: The Mysterious Island already, and will again for San Andreas 2 and Rampage.

But I don't know anything about Malignant Man so I'm not sure if there is even a role that would suit The Rock.

No word yet on filming date or a release date.
