Legendary composer John Williams was just honoured a Lifetime Achievement Award by American Film Institute, where the 84-year-old said that he very much would like to return to score for Star Wars Episode VIII.
And hey, if John Williams want to do it, he will get the gig.
Williams also told Variety of his conversation with Kathleen Kennedy, "I am happy to do it, but the real reason is, I didn't want anybody else writing for Daisy Ridley."
Steven Spielberg at the event also announced during an interview with Scott Mantz that Williams is also set to score for the new Indiana Jones sequel.
That fifth installment is scheduled to be out on 19 July 2019, while Episode VIII will be out on 15 December 2017.
