Pitch Perfect is a surprise franchise with the first sequel over-selling the entire run of the original movie on its first weekend alone!
The second sequel, Pitch Perfect 3, will once again be directed by Elizabeth Banks; and was supposed to be released on 21 July 2017. But Universal Pictures has delayed the movie by five months to 22 December 2017.
I guess the producers want to try their luck in the new "summer" that is winter, and see if they can dominate there?
Some of the original cast has already been confirmed, and they are Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson and Brittany Snow. Kay Cannon will once again provide the script.
