Warner Bros. Pictures and DC have cast their Iris West, the main love interest of Barry Allen in The Flash storyline.
Director Rick Famuyiwa has selected the only shortlisted actress that he has previously worked with. Kiersey Clemons was the lead actress in Famuyiwa's previous movie, Dope. And now she is taking the lead female role in The Flash, but we may see her appear first in Zack Snyder's Justice League.
Coincidence or planned? The source material has Iris as a Caucasian, but in the very successful TV series of The Flash, she is black. And the movie has decided to follow suit.
Written by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, The Flash will be out on... oh wait, what? It's currently without a release date? Sigh, DC and WB at it again.
