Max Landis has announced on his Twitter that he is currently working on a screenplay for Warner Bros. Pictures long in development movie of the cartoon character Pepe Le Pew.
Described as "romantic French new wave 60's heist movie", the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies property will also have Penelope the cat, and the apple of Pepe's eye, as one of the lead characters.
Landis is well-known for offbeat takes on popular genres but he also wrote from the serious and original sci-fi Chronicle to a popular franchise for kids like next year's Power Rangers; showing that his range is as wide as the ocean.
No confirmed date as of now for Pepe Le Pew.
