Walt Disney Pictures is in early stages of development on restarting The Rocketeer movie franchise, with the new movie taking place six years after the original events. The movie currently goes by the title, The Rocketeers.
Not much else is known about the project at this poing, but according to The Hollywood Reporter, it will have a black female lead.
The original movie came out in 1991 with director Joe Johnson. This new movie currently has writers Max Winkler and Matt Spicer working on a draft.
