Hollywood legend Warren Beatty is back with a new movie in which he directed. His last directorial was 1998's Bulworth.
Twentieth Century Fox has released the first trailer and poster for Beatty's Rules Don't Apply. The movie has a slew of notable actors with Beatty leading the pack, including Lily Collins, Alden Ehrenreich, Matthew Broderick, Annette Bening, Alec Baldwin, Candice Bergen, Steve Coogan, Martin Sheen, Oliver Platt and Ed Harris.
I'm not sure what to feel about this first trailer. On one hand, it felt like all three acts have been revealed and you can sort of fill in the blanks. But on the other, maybe there's more to it than what has been revealed in this first trailer because everything moved so fast.
The cast looks great and the humour works so well for this era, and Broderick is just perfect for a movie like this. This will be another great opportunity to see what Ehrenreich can offer before we see him as young Han Solo.
The poster, however, is the furthest detachment from its trailer that I have ever seen in a while because the trailer is so quick and upbeat but the poster look like a serious drama.
The movie will be out on 23 November 2016.
