Ben Wishaw To Join Emily Blunt's Mary Poppins Returns


Casting continues and probably will ramp it up a notch at Walt Disney Pictures for their upcoming sequel Mary Poppins Returns.

Already in the cast is Emily Blunt who will play Poppins, Lin-Manuel Miranda as a lamplighter named Jack, as well as Meryl Streep as Poppins' cousin Topsy.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ben Whishaw is in negotiations to play the grown-up Michael Banks. Wishaw's credits include The Danish Girl, playing Q in the recent James Bond movies, and also voicing for Paddington.

Rob Marshall will direct the movie, as well as producing alongside his producer-partners from Into The Woods. 

Written by David Magee, the movie will be out on 25 December 2018.
