Will Ferrell And John C. Reilly Re-Teams For Holmes And Watson

Comedians Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly, who previously collaborated on Step Brothers and Talladega Nights: The Ballad Of Ricky Bobby, will work together once again for the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle-inspired Sherlock Holmes movie, titled Holmes And Watson.

According to Deadline, Ferrell will be playing Holmes while Reilly will be the sidekick, Watson, in this comedic version under Sony Pictures.

The movie will be directed by Etan Cohen who previously directed Ferrell and Kevin Hart in Get Hard.

I can't get excited for this project just yet until I see what they are going to do with one of my favourite characters of all time, especially with Cohen directing it as he hasn't directed anything of note yet. I am not inclined to see Sherlock Holmes reduced to a bumbling fool as that's the only image comes to mind with Ferrell playing him.

No release date has been set as of now.
