Warner Bros. Pictures have released the first poster and trailer to what looks like a noir drama, Live By Night.
Adapted from another Denise Lehane's novels, Ben Affleck is directing himself, as well as Sienna Miller, Zoe Saldana, Elle Fanning, Brendan Gleeson and Chris Cooper.
And with cinematographer Robert Richardson, this first trailer looks beautifully shot and with Affleck's dark and gritty tone. On paper, this is in Affleck's wheelhouse as it brings back memories of The Town and Gone Baby Gone. And because of that, I have very high hopes for this movie, so let's see how it translates to the silver screen.
The poster is something else though. It has Affleck in what looks like a yellow hat and jacket, which reminds me of Dick Tracy and not in a good way.
Live By Night will be out on 13 January 2017, and I'm guessing it will have a limited release in December for award considerations.
