From the director of Selma, Ava DuVernay, the adaptation of A Wrinkle In Time by author Madeleine L'Engle are in various stages of production and are also in the midst of securing three of its headlining cast, Oprah Winfrey, Mindy Kaling and Reese Witherspoon.
Today, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that rising child actress Storm Reid, whose first role was in 12 Years A Slave, has secured the leading role in the movie.
The time-travelling, high profile Disney project is being adapted by Frozen writer and co-director, Jennifer Lee; and centres around a young girl in search of her father who disappeared years earlier.
No release date has been announced for the movie.
