Fox Searchlight Pictures has released a teaser trailer and poster for their upcoming biopic, Jackie, with Natalie Portman playing the first lady.
As a trailer, I didn't like it even though it's just a teaser trailer. It's just random scenes cut together, but definitely showing Portman in the likeness of Jackie Kennedy and selling it from that point of view. I think we can all expect another Oscar nomination for Portman next February.
The poster on the other hand is a better marketing tool. It looks beautiful with that font spelling out the title. And Portman in that very recognisable pose, completely sells the movie with this poster.
Also starring Greta Gerwig, Billy Crudup, John Hurt and Peter Saarsgard. Directed by Pablo Larrain, written by Noah Oppenheim, the movie will be out on 2 December 2016.
