Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool 2 Finds Its Director
After the drama of losing Tim Miller as the director, the Deadpool sequel looked like it may not be able to hit its scheduled release date. But it may be back on track already.
The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that John Wick's director David Leitch has been signed on to direct Ryan Reynolds in his red and black spandex. It definitely was his work in John Wick that caught the attention of Reynolds and 20th Century Fox, and I believe his name was already in consideration even before Miller's leaving the project was announced.
The report also stated that the studio has already begun production for Deadpool 3 and is already actively looking for another director to helm that project.
X-Force is rumoured to be introduced in Deadpool 3, after their leader Cable, as well as team member Domino, will appear in Deadpool 2 first.
The sequel is still scheduled to be out on 12 January 2018, though this still may change.
