Fans of the anime should be very pleased with this first full trailer of Ghost In The Shell released by Paramount Pictures, if they can get over the fact that it's a Caucasian taking over the lead.
I'm not a huge fan of the source material as I grew out of manga and anime by the time I found out about it, but I have seen the first animated series. And some of the scenes and imagery from this first trailer look just like the cartoon.
The opening of this trailer is beautiful with a breathtaking view over the city, even if it's all CGI.
Scarlett Johansson looks good for the part and she can carry a movie well. So the rest is up to director Rupert Sanders to tell the story.
The poster looks alright, though the triangle someone reminds me of Aeon Flux just a little bit.
The movie will be out on 31 March 2017.
