Little has been heard for Taron Egerton's Robin Hood: Origins from Summit Entertainment. But today Variety has confirmed that Ben Mendelsohn has joined the cast.
Mendelsohn will play Sheriff of Nottingham alongside Egerton, Jamie Foxx as Little John, Jamie Dornan as Will Scarlett, and Eve Hewson as Maid Marion.
After just watching Mendelsohn as Krennic in Rogue One, I think Mendelsohn can do no wrong playing a villain because he just seethes evil.
The movie, co-produced by Leonardo DiCaprio, will be directed by Otto Bathurst and is scheduled to be released on 23 March 2018.
