Two actors with the potential to become A-listers have teamed up to bring us A United Kingdom - based off a true story about King Seretse Khama of Botswana in the 1940's.
David Oyelowo and Rosamund Pike both had a great 2014 with Selma and Gone Girl respectively. This year has been quite quiet for them but A United Kingdom looks promising. The only worry is that it's getting released on 17 February 2017, right in the middle of the dead zone. But it debuted in the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this year so it can't be that bad.
Also starring Jack Davenport, directed by Amma Asante; this will be the second time Oyelowo tackles racial issue as the subject matter. But I'm still waiting for both him and Pike to have another award-worthy performances because 2014 was definitely not a fluke.
