First there was Cloverfield. Then last year the sequel / spin-off 10 Cloverfield Lane sneaked into the cinemas with only two months' notice, with a brilliant performance by John Goodman.
Following its success, a third installment has been announced by J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot with a working title of God Particle. According to ComingSoon, initially to be launched on 24 February 2017, Paramount Pictures has pushed it back to 27 October 2017.
No reason has been officially given though if I had to guess, it's probably not ready yet or post-production is taking longer than planned. But to push it by eight months is actually a lot.
Starring David Oyelowo, John Krasinski, Elizabeth Debicki, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Zhang Ziyi, Chris O'Dowd and Daniel Bruhl. Will we see Mary Elizabeth Winstead make an appearance? I think we will if this story links up to the events of 10 Cloverfield Lane.
