[Review] Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Second Viewing (8/10)

Having known all the movie's flaws, this second viewing of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story made the experience much better.

One of the biggest flaws in the movie was character development. And through the second viewing, I felt like I knew the characters more than the first time and could accept their arcs better.

But I also noticed how one scene with that weird tentacle creature was totally unnecessary. Cutting that out would not have made the story any lesser, and would even make the experience a little better. This reminds me of the Rathar in A Force Awakens, which not only did not add any substance to the story but detracted from what that plot could have been.

There are a few other plot points that I would have liked to see changed to make this movie a potential 9/10 or even higher. Check it out here and see if you would agree with me.

Obviously I would be watching this many more times after getting the Blu Ray, but this second viewing came with less expectations and I could enjoy the movie more for what it is.
