I can now confirm that the cheese factor is indeed present in this new live-action Saban's Power Rangers. The teaser trailer hid that pretty well but once the action begins in this one and the characters are in their suit, it is as cheesy as the TV series.
That's now to say that the movie definitely will be bad, and it does look deliberate by director Dean Israelite. However, the more footage I see, the less enthused I am now about the movie. While the first trailer has managed to get me slightly excited for it, this one looks like it's exactly what I thought it's going to be.
Still, I really liked what Israelite did with Project Almanac, so let's see if he can impress me with his direction on a property that I have no love for.
