Sony's Animated Spider-Man Movie Is Miles Morales

This is major news in the superhero genre. According to ComingSoon, Sony Pictures Animation has just confirmed that their upcoming Spider-Man animated movie will be led by Miles Morales instead of Peter Parker.

Morales took on the mantle of Spider-Man in the comic books when Peter Parker died at some point back in the 90's run. He has similar powers as Parker but with some additional abilities.

The animated movie will be written by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, and directed by The Little Prince's Bob Persichetti.
