Diego Luna's Scarface Remake Gets Writers The Coen Brothers, Release Date

Universal Pictures is remaking the classic Al Pacino film, Scarface; and this time with Diego Luna in the lead.

Antoine Fuqua recently stepped down as director for the movie due to clashing schedule with The Equalizer 2. A new search is underway.

However, some good news today for the project as reported by ComingSoon, the script for the remake will be written by the Coen Brothers, the superb writing duo and my personal favourites, who brought us Burn After Reading, No Country For Old Men, Inside Llewyn Davis and Bridge Of Spies.

The movie also has received a release date, which will be on 10 August 2018. We can expect to hear more casting news in the weeks to come.
