If they do not rename this project from just Del, I know I will be getting it from my friends.
But this piece of news interests me because it has Mike Myers coming onboard, to star as his mentor, Del Close, as reported by ComingSoon.
Myers has not been in front of a camera in a motion picture since his biggest flop, The Love Guru. So far he has only lent his voice to the multiple Shrek projects. His sabbatical has been felt and nobody knows if he will come back again as an actor.
But if this project is to move forward, this would mark his comeback and in a more serious light. The Myers of the Austin Powers franchise and Wayne's World may be a character in the past, not the future.
The movie is written by Nick Torokvei, no release date has been set.
