Joe Carnahan is a busy guy lately. He just announced that he will be remaking The Raid, he still is working on Bad Boys For Life, he is writing an R-rated Uncharted adaptation, and now he is reported as writing for an upcoming X-movie.
According to Collider, Carnahan is now on writing duties for X-Force, the next X-Men spin-off that should be featuring a much-anticipated character Cable, who was hinted for Deadpool 2 in the stinger in the first movie.
But Carnahan is definitely a great choice whether or he will be directing the movie. His previous work such as Smokin' Aces, The A-Team and The Grey - which he wrote as well, were very competent action flicks that dealt with character development and a bit of a darker tone. So for X-Force, he seems to fit the bill.
No release date has been announced yet.
