Patrick Stewart Confirms Logan As Final X-Movie As Well
It could just be lip-service, it could very well just be a marketing hype, but it has worked on me.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Patrick Stewart has made his announcement to exit the X-Universe and that Logan would also be his final movie alongside Hugh Jackman.
The pair were at the Berlin screening where after watching the movie left both of them teary eyes. Stewart said, "I was so moved by it, much more moved than I had been the first time seeing it... We were going to be taken up on stage, but not until the credits were over. We had some time to sit there, and as I sat there, I realized there will never be a better, a more perfect, a more sensitive, emotional and beautiful way of saying au revoir to Charles Xavier than this movie. So I told [Hugh] that same evening, "I'm done too. It's all over"."
The prospect of how the actors have been moved that much excites me to no end as this is my most anticipated movie of the year. The marketing from 20th Century Fox, like Deadpool, has done a tremendous job with it.
Reading between the lines, the two characters might have survived the movie. But it might just be something to throw the fans off. My wish is for at least one of them to die at the end, in order to have a proper end to the character; and my guess had been Professor X.
We will soon find out, next week, 2 March 2017.
