The first spin-off from James Wan's ever-popular horror flick The Conjuring was Annabelle, which the first sequel will be out this August.
Now Deadline has reported a second spin-off, another spooky character and this time from The Conjuring 2, The Nun has been confirmed to start production soon; and that New Line Cinema has confirmed a new director Corin Hardy.
I was searching through my archive for a picture of The Nun and when I saw this one, she still gives me the creeps. She or it still has that effect and presence even in a picture. So makes sense to have a full movie focusing on this spirit.
This would not have been Hardy's first full-length feature movie had The Crow remake had found a studio by now (after all the many delays it has suffered). But seems like The Nun will be Hardy's first.
The script will also be co-scripted by Wan, who will also be producing it.
