This year's natural disaster movie comes in the form of Geostorm, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Skydance.
The first trailer has been released and it plays more like a teaser at this point as we do not get any plot points from it. But the special effects looks great so far, though the tidal wave scene still looks CGI at this point.
Starring Gerard Butler, Jim Sturgess, Abbie Cornish, Ed Harris, Daniel Wu and Andy Garcia. But the boring poster could have told you that.
Directed by writer Dean Devlin as his first feature film, Geostorm will be out on 20 October 2017 - a date that says "this should be a summer blockbuster but we do not have confidence it would do well there".
