Lionsgate and CBS Films have just released the first trailer for the upcoming thriller, American Assassin.
Not sure yet what to make of this trailer. On one hand it looks very generic, but on the other, it does not play like one and may have the potential to be something completely unexpected. Not to mention that, other than Dylan O'Brien leading, it also has a cast that includes Michael Keaton, Taylor Kitsch, Sanaa Lathan and Scott Adkins.
I am still waiting for O'Brien to have a breakout role as he looks competent enough. Those Maze Runner movies are not doing him justice so perhaps this one would.
The first poster, however, does nothing for the interest of the moviegoers, kind of like the trailer to be honest.
Directed by Michael Cuesta, the movie will be out on 15 September 2017.
