The search for a director has been going on for a while. And I would have thought that Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Pictures would have waited for D23 to make this announcement.
But according to ComingSoon, the search has found a duo of directors in Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, best known for Mississippi Grind in 2015 starring Ryan Reynolds and Ben Mendelsohn. Could they be the nest Russo Brothers?
They are set to direct Brie Larson and Carol Danvers in the first female-led superhero movie from Marvel.
From a script written by Meg LeFauve and Nicole Perlman, Captain Marvel is set to be out on 8 March 2019.
