Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Pictures have just released the teaser trailer to Thor: Ragnarok.
And very quickly you will notice that this Thor installment looks and feels very different - unless it is just how this teaser trailer is cut. And because I have never seen a Taika Waititi movie, it is hard to judge whether the trailer is in the same style as the director's.
There's a lot of colours, there's a lot of close-ups, and there's also a lot of slow-motion. Everything looks very different from the previous Thor movies, even the background music (which is Led Zeppelin). And it just gets me even more excited in the hopes of a fresh take on a large franchise like this one.
Cate Blanchett, Tessa Thompson and Karl Urban look great. This is a very quick-paced trailer and therefore the replay value is very high. And I love that helmet!
But one thing I hope will be fixed is the unrealistic feel of the gladiator stadium. A lot more touch-up needs to be done.
And there's still plenty of time for that as the movie will be out on 3 November 2017.
