[Review] Elvis & Nixon (7/10)

Elvis & Nixon was a sweet little movie that not a lot of people have seen. And it was such an enjoyable journey to see, whether true or not so true, how Elvis and Nixon met.

Michael Shannon and Kevin Spacey both gave such great performances as these historical figures, and just watching them was enough to make this movie a worthwhile watch.

The story development by director Liza Johnson took its time to take the audience through the setup but in quite a consistent pacing that kept the attention on the screen.

Plus a great supporting cast from Alex Pettyfer and Johnny Knoxville on the Elvis side, and then there were Colin Hanks and Evan Peters on Nixon's side that provided more comedic elements than I thought this movie would.

This was a surprisingly good movie that I am glad I finally gave it a chance.
