[Review] Kubo And The Two Strings (8/10) - Second Viewing

Kubo And The Two Strings had gathered such great reviews that I could not understand why, until this second viewing.

I still had issues with some of the decisions the writers took, for example how Kubo became a brat right after his mother sacrificed herself for his escape. He did not even know whether she was alive and I thought it was very out of character.

As well as the final battle where there were more talking than action. The antagonist was supposed to be more powerful, but it was just frustrating to see the kind of battle that took place.

But then again, Travis Knight did a beautiful job directing a very heartfelt story that was not a typical Hollywood animated movie. It had a lot of heart and depth, and I felt I needed to correct my score as it was a grave misrepresentation on my part.
