[Review] The Seven Psychopaths (8/10)

Seven Psychopaths was a brilliantly written and directed piece by Martin McDonagh. This is his first ever movie that I have seen, partly because he does not make a lot of movies. The most popular one was In Bruges, which came out before this one.

I am very excited for his next one, however, having seen the trailer that just came out; titled Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. It will also see him team up with Woody Harrelson once again.

The main cast here of Colin Farrell, Sam Rockwell, Christopher Walken and Harrelson were fantastic. But Michael Stuhlbarg and Michael Pitt opening up the movie was a stroke of brilliance.

The dialogue, humour and direction were all very enjoyable. And the characters themselves were fun to follow and probably fun to portray by the cast as well.

The only negative I have would be the desert scene which slowed down the movie considerably and felt draggy.

But other than that, the movie had a good mix of action, humour and violence. This was one movie I should not have waited this long to watch.
