Three X-Movies Arriving In 2018, Including Deadpool 2
According to ComingSoon, 20th Century Fox has announced the release dates of their X-Movies that are already announced and inline to be produced.
But the surprising thing is that all of them are coming out in 2018. Not even Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Pictures have achieved three movies in a year yet in their nine-year history of making the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
This year Disney will have Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 and Thor: Ragnarok, while Spider-Man: Homecoming is a shared property with Sony Pictures.
But 2018 will be the first to have three movies scheduled to be out in a year: Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War and Ant-Man And The Wasp.
Therefore, 2018 may be the most comic book movies out in a single year as Fox will have three of their own: New Mutants on 13 April 2018, Deadpool 2 on 1 June 2018, as well as Dark Phoenix on 2 November 2018.
New Mutants will be directed by Josh Boone, which is set for James McAvoy to reprise his role as Professor Xavier; alongside Maisie Williams, Anya Taylor-Joy and Nat Wolff.
Deadpool 2 will be directed by David Leitch, and will bring newcomers Josh Brolin and Zazie Beetz to join Ryan Reynolds.
Dark Phoenix was previously reported to have producer Simon Kinberg circling to direct, but no confirmation yet so far; though it should be the direct sequel to last year's X-Men: Apocalypse. I, however, will not be holding my breath on this one as I won't be surprised if it is postponed later on.
