David Ayer To Direct Scarface Remake

The remake of Scarface by Universal Pictures has had its fair share of a roller coaster ride with the losing of director Antoine Fuqua, who seems to be a perfect fit.

But now it seems Suicide Squad's director David Ayer is negotiating to sign on, according to Variety. The script was written by Terence Winter, and then went over by The Coen Brothers.

However, Ayer is also known for writing his own movie as well so maybe the script will change. Which also means that the previously attached Diego Luna to lead the movie may not stay on, at least until we hear it officially from the studio.

Scarface already has a release date set for 10 August 2018 so filming should begin soon unless the studio pushes it.
