Annapurna Pictures has released a second trailer for Kathryn Bigelow's upcoming movie based on real events, Detroit.
There is a more cohesive story in this trailer to introduce to the audience about what transpired back in the summer of 1967. And the way racism has reared its head looks really scary, which is credit to Bigelow for being the architect. She is definitely the right talent to be directing this movie, and I won't be surprised if this gives her another Oscar nod.
We also get to see a few more players and Will Poulter is the one I am more interested to see how he perform. And of course John Boyega in a role that is very different from Star Wars, with a very different director. I am already liking what I see in this trailer from him.
Detroit will be out on 4 August 2017.
