David Ayer Leaves Scarface Remake
Things are not looking up for David Ayer lately. After his critical-failed Suicide Squad effort, his follow-up, major blockbuster Scarface remake is not taking off the ground either.
Variety has reported that Ayer and Universal Pictures are not seeing eye to eye in terms of scheduling. Universal are pushing aggressively to release the movie, but Ayer's commitment to finish "Bright" for Netflix will not allow him to start shooting the remake in time.
Even though I really disliked what Ayer did to the high-potential Suicide Squad, I thought he actually fits a Scarface movie nicely.
Diego Luna is still attached to the remake as of now, which is set to be released on 10 August 2018.
