Sony Pictures is moving ahead with a reboot of the Stieg Larsson's franchise, this time starting with The Girl In The Spider's Web.
Claire Foy, nominated for this year's Best Actress in this week's Emmy Awards, will be the new lead for the franchise, taking over from Rooney Mara as Lisbeth Salander; according to ComingSoon.
This novel will be the first to get a movie adaptation and will be directed by Fede Alvarez, who recently did Don't Breathe. And will be written by Steven Knight and Alvarez.
The movie is scheduled to be released on 19 October 2018.
