Dexter Fletcher Replaces Bryan Singer As Director For Bohemian Rhapsody

After allegations and reported unprofessionalisms on the set of Bohemian Rhapsody, Bryan Singer has been fired by 20th Century Fox.

Deadline has reported that Eddie The Eagle director, Dexter Fletcher, has been hired to replace Singer, who only had two weeks left of filming to be done.

This comes on the heels of some "unofficial" sexual harassment claims against the X-Men franchise shepherd, but the official reason that got him fired has been that he once again disappeared from set following the Thanksgiving break, as he had done so before even on some of the X-Men movies.

Apparently, the studio has reached its limit when it comes to Singer's antics; and even with just a couple of weeks left in shooting, gave him the boot. This, too, could be for fear of those allegations coming to light at a later, and much more crucial, date.

This is definitely very disappointing for me personally as I have been a fan of Singer's work, from the X-Men movies, to Superman Returns, and all the way back to The Usual Suspects.

The movie about the rock band Queen and frontman Freddie Mercury is still set to be released on 25 December 2018, though who would get the credit as director is still uncertain.
