Good news and bad news have come out from 20th Century Fox's Marvel properties.
The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Deadpool 2 has been moved up from 1 June 2018 to 18 May 2018. This will pit the sequel against Slender Man, but is now one week before the release of Solo: A Star Wars Story. Speculations have started that Solo may want to move out of the way as Deadpool 2 is trending much better than the Star Wars spin-off - who would have ever thought a Star Wars movie is less superior?
Bad news, however, for one of my most anticipated movies of the year: The New Mutants. It has been given a 10-month delay, from 13 April 2018 to 22 February 2019. Whatever reasons the studio has given for this delay would more likely be far from the truth, which could very well be reshoots. But what are the reasons behind these reshoots, that we will never really know.
Also, in another bad news, well, depending on which side of the project you are on: Gore Verbinski, the third director to have been attached to Channing Tatum's Gambit solo movie, has bailed. The project continues to be in production limbo. But I could not care less.
