[Review] Mark Felt: The Man Who Brought Down The White House (6.5/10)

Mark Felt: The Man Who Brought Down The White House is a terribly long name which I thought could have been shorter in a few ways. But I guess nobody knew who Mark Felt was so the marketing team behind the movie decided to be as clear as possible.

But Liam Neeson gave such a great performance, and so different from what he has been doing of late that this was a very refreshing watch.

The built-up through Peter Landesman's adaptation from the book and his direction was perhaps almost flawless, however, the story was just harder to follow and make interesting. There was a lot of suspense throughout but there just wasn't enough of a climactic finish that would make the journey more satisfactory as a piece of entertainment.

But on the education side of things, this was definitely an interesting piece of material that showed the heroism and truth of a hero that may have not had his time to shine during that period of his life, when he single handedly took down the White House.

There was also a strong cast that needed to act, and they did. It's just that there wasn't too much for them to do, like Bruce Greenwood's character that only had a couple of conversations at a booth inside a diner. Not the most exciting stuff.
