Hasbro's MASK To Be Directed By F Gary Gray

Paramount Pictures has found a director for the first adaptation of the 80's cartoon, M.A.S.K.

According to Deadline, F. Gary Gray has signed a deal with Hasbro to develop and direct the Kenner toy line and cartoon series.

The acronym actually stands for Mobile Armored Strike Kommand, and the villain - taken from a page out of G.I. Joe - are from an organisation named VENOM, which stands for Vicious Evil Network Of Mayhem.

Gray is a director that has not delivered thoroughly for me yet. Straight Outta Compton has issues in the third act, The Fate Of The Furious was a disaster. His next project will be the reboot / sequel to Men In Black. So hopefully after that, he will be more seasoned to handle this adaptation.

M.A.S.K. has a place near and dear to my heart and this is one project I will be very excited for.
