David Leitch seems to be on a meteoric rise. Deadpool 2 must be tracking well. From modest beginnings of a stuntman to directing tentpole movies and now directing Academy Award-level actors.
He certainly is busy, what with the upcoming promotional tour of Deadpool 2, then stepping into directing the Fast & Furious spin-off of Hobbs and Shaw, and there have also been reports recently that he is writing and could be directing for the sequel of Atomic Blonde.
Now Ubisoft has confirmed that Leitch will helm their next video game adaptation to the silver screen, titled The Division. And the two leads have already been confirmed, Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Chastain.
The online first-person shooter game was first developed by Ubisoft's Massive Entertainment and hopes to go into development in the third quarter this year.
