At this point I have to believe that in Johnny Depp's contract, if you want to cast him in your movie, he must be in heavy makeup.
This first trailer looks good. The characters now have a sense of familiarity to them and that is a plus. The lore keeps getting stronger for me because I have never bought into the Harry Potter franchise.
But again, there are still the elements that takes me out of the above-mentioned franchise that are present here; like the spell that sounds like "ridiculous". One of the first dialogues in this trailer is, "Everyone is scared of something." "Ridiculous". I can't take it seriously.
